If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is present in our lives.
I was curious about who the Holy Spirit is when I first observed the contrast in how the Bible speaks about the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit) and our spirit as human beings.

A friend was visiting, and while we read from the bible, I noticed the difference in the letters as it’s written when the Holy Spirit was mentioned as opposed to the human spirit.

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are the children of God:” Rom 8:16

So this aided me in understanding the existence of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible John 1:12 first introduced the Holy Spirit to me. “But to as many, as received him, he granted authority to become sons of God, especially to those who believe in his name,” it says. Even though I did not fully understand it as a new believer, I memorised and adored this message.

It means a lot to me because I am now God’s child. I believe the Holy Spirit empowers us. According to Acts 1:8, the Holy Spirit gives us power.

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. Acts 1:8

All I want to do is commit myself to a comprehensive study of the Holy Spirit, amassing as much information about him and praying to experience even more of him, to pass on all I’ve learned to someone, most notably my children.

What precisely is the Holy Spirit? If I may use my definition, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.

Similarly, the Spirit assists us in our weaknesses: for we do not know what we should pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings that cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26.

I remembered participating in a Gospel music project and writing a verse about the Holy Spirit. “Lord of mercy, You reign from heaven above, and you send me your Spirit to lead me on in the light of your Word, which is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path, in the Spirit of truth I trust,”

“The Holy Spirit instructs us to love our enemies so much that we pity their souls as if they were our children,” according to sermonindexnet. At the Cross, Jesus appealed to God to forgive his adversaries because they had no idea what they were doing.

Speaking in Tongues Sometimes you wonder if speaking in Tongues as described in the bible is really what we have in Christianity today.

A lot of what people say into the air makes you wonder if speaking in tongues is really necessary; whenever you hear some people utter words from their mouth, you get a check in your spirit and wonder if it is truly from God or the devil.

In a message, Kathryn Kuhlman says, “I believe in the Holy Spirit’s baptism, however, there are many things that are labelled the Holy Spirit’s baptism that is a dishonour to the one who is PERFECTION! because it is a perfect language when it is the Holy Spirit” ….. You can not teach the Holy Spirit.

Kathryn Kuhlman speaks about the Holy Ghost.
